Photo diary March 2024

March felt pretty short. I’m not sure why, but it flew past me. I had great experiences, plenty of fun, and plenty of work, too. So, let’s dive into it.

I had a sore throat the first few days, so I took it easy—but not really, as work was there to be done.

At the start of the month, I decided to get fresh air for my throat and photograph some birds in the park. I didn’t expect too much of it, but it was still fun to be out in the sun.

Of course, I also had to do some work. One of the more notable photo sessions was photographing for a European Union event in Brussels. My family also celebrated my mother’s birthday. I took photos of my nieces and nephew there, but those are only for my family to enjoy.

For the rest of the month, I had more events and portraits to do. Some were at the Google offices in Brussels, others at the Plein Publiek in Antwerp, and others at the Corda Campus in Hasselt. So, I was all over the place this month.

In between, I also helped my brother-in-law move houses. Well, it wasn’t a complete move—just some last big bits and pieces he needed to move in with my sister.

I also completed a roll of film for the first time in over a year. I finally started using my Nikon TW Zoom properly. I still need to develop the roll, but it was fun to shoot analog again.

Near the end of the month, I also helped another photographer shoot portraits at an event. I also did some street photography in Brussels and photographed a Flemish minister’s visit to a client’s workshop.

And then, to finish the month, I spent a night in Rotterdam. Two days of street photography. It’s a beautiful city to do that in—lots of photo opportunities, great locations, and different neighborhoods.

I’ll probably make a specific photo diary for that Rotterdam trip. Coming soon!
