September often means the start of more professional work again after the more laidback summer months. And that was the case this year, too. But I also made plenty of time for myself.
For example, I did several photo walks in Antwerp and Brussels this month. I also felt considerable progress in my pictures and techniques. And such progress always works motivational. So I’m sure to keep going at it.
Also funny was that guys approached me on two walks and asked me to take their photo. Something I never had happened before. But I happily obliged. I’ve sent them their pictures, but I don’t like the work so I won’t be publishing it here.
I’ve also done more recordings for the Slices of Time: Street Photography podcast, which will be published in the coming month.
I also have a trip booked to Nice, France, for November. If you have any tips, let me know!
Furthermore, I enjoyed some time with friends at markets, the Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie brewery, a Rueben Solo comedy show, pizza at Neo, and japchae at Hey Joo, both in Ghent.
Professionally, I also had a fun and busy time. I photographed the opening of a new company building for Electro Rent with Bart Somers (Mayor of Mechelen) present. Then, I attended an event at a local plant and gardening wholesale. I also spent two evenings at an open house visit for Massimmo.
Next, I made a photo report for the first Neurodiversity at Work Congress in Belgium—an interesting day. Then, again, I spent two evenings at an award ceremony for Exact, an accounting software supplier.
Of course, I also had some time at home. I reworked my portrait and event portfolio pages on my website.
And of course, like every month…
