In July, I focused primarily on my street photography, as my corporate work typically takes a break during the summer months. Anyway, it was an entertaining month!
As most people take breaks during the summer months, it’s challenging for me to visit offices and capture photos of their teams.
For that reason, I usually just take it easy. Perform some marketing and administrative tasks to ensure I remain productive. And ofcourse also take more time for myself.
Time with friends
In July, I spent plenty of time with friends, including attending a Future Islands concert with a friend, hosting a BBQ for my birthday, spending evenings at friends’ houses, visiting the local carnival with friends and family, and, of course, attending a housewarming party.
Some work
Ofcourse, I still had to do some work. A couple of portrait shoots for a few companies and for solo freelancers who also have a bit of extra time now. Most of them were clients I had known for a while, which made it both enjoyable and relaxing.
I also spend some time optimizing my LinkedIn profile and company page, as that’s something that needs to be done periodically. And then I decided to take a social media break, writing posts for the entire coming month, but not publishing them just yet.
Street photography fun
This month was also the first time we met as the ASP-C in Antwerp, also known as The Antwerp Street Photography Community. With Caroline and Tom, I walked around the Sinksenfoor taking photos.
I also met up virtually with Amy Horowitz for an upcoming episode of the Slices of Time Street Photography podcast.
And then I headed out to Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam for a 5-day trip around the Netherlands. I spent most of my time doing street photography on that trip. Which you can see in the slideshow below.
