August, as usual, was a quiet month. A bit of work, a bit of this, a bit of that. Nothing too exciting or special. But I did have fun with friends and my camera.
Time with friends
It started with a housewarming at a friend’s place. Technically, he had already lived there, but his girlfriend had moved in. It was in the late morning, and the rest of the day I spent with more friends playing cards and eating burgers.
I also spend time attending a BBQ at another friend’s place, participating in a quiz, and visiting the Pukkelpop Festival: Ideale Wereld Ochtendmatinee, Loreen, Glintsal, Sylvie Kreush, The Beaches, Meute, Doechii, Justice, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Time working
Ofcourse, there was still work to do. A photoshoot with a client. Doing an entire portrait session in her backyard. Despite the heatwave. Another highlight was giving my smartphone photography workshop in the FOMU (Antwerp Photomuseum).
I also created a Substack, where I think I will post more ‘personal’ blog posts like this one from now on. And also more specific about my street photo walks.
Personal photography
There was plenty of time for both my street photography and personal work. I participated in several photowalks, but especially during the Pride Parade in Antwerp, I had numerous photo opportunities.
I also had the first meetup with the new Antwerp Street Photography Community I’m trying to start. I’ve already had a lovely, long chat with many people about all things photography (and travel).
