I’m usually not that much of a breakfast eater. I know, shame on me! One thing that can convince me to have breakfast is either a buffet in the hotel I am staying at or a great place that makes awesome food.
In this blog, I created a list of my favorite places in Ghent to have breakfast. Get your tummy full of love and start the day!
Gust, for amazing breakfast in Ghent
This is probably my favorite place on this list. The food looks super good, so make sure to photograph it! It’s all super delicious too. They have a wide array of options to choose from, so I suggest going a couple of times to try them all.
You can find Gust at Papegaaistraat 55, 9000 Gent
Luv L’oeuf, an egg-based breakfast
As the name suggests, this place is dedicated to eggs. Though, not all the dishes are egg-based. You have eggs Benedicts, omelets, plain, and even spicy ones to get that fire in you started. This is a very popular place, so it’s best to make reservations.
Find Luv L’oeuf at Nederkouter 30, 9000 Gent
STEK, a breakfast in green
Situated close to the city center, this is a great place to start your day. They have a nice and cozy setting filled with plants.

Celtic Towers, for Irish breakfast in Ghent
Okay sure, this is an Irish bar. But Irish breakfast is the best! Beans, sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes. What more can you need? Especially if you had a late night the previous day. 😉

Wasbar, for a multi-tasking breakfast
It’s part restaurant part laundromat. You can do your laundry here while having breakfast or lunch. There are plenty of options to choose from: pancakes, bagels, and yogurt. You choose!
